Blue Star Fern (Phlebodium Aureum)

Found naturally in the tropical rainforest of South America, the Blue Star Fern is an epiphyte, meaning it attaches itself to, and grows on trees.

Light ☀️: The Blue Star Fern prefers bright indirect light, but will survive in medium-lower lighting conditions. Never allow this plant to stand in direct sunlight-the leaves will fade and become scorched.

Water💧: Water when the top inch of the soil is dry. This plant likes its soil to be moist (not soggy)

*We recommend Bottom-watering, sometimes called reverse watering, is when you place a plant in a bowl of water, allowing the soil and roots to soak up water from the bottom. (Naturally, your pot needs to have drainage holes for this to work.)

Humidity: The Blue Star Fern prefers to be in a humid environment, as it is from tropical forests. Mist the plant often to increase the humidity. This plant will survive in regular household humidity, but will grow slower.

Temperature🌡️: The best temperature for this plant ranges from 64ºF-77ºF. Maintain indoor temperatures above 60ºF. Avoid cold air drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Food🌿: Feed once every 2 months in the spring and summer with a liquid fertilizer for indoor plants.

Toxicity 🐶🐱: All Ferns are safe for humans, cats & dogs!
