Shipping Policy

1. Processing & Fulfilment

All orders received by Forget Me Not – Plants & Decor (“we”, “our”, “us”) will be processed within 1–3 business days after payment verification and confirmation of stock availability. Orders placed on weekends or U.S. federal holidays are considered received the next business day.
If we discover that we cannot fulfil your order within this timeframe, we will notify you immediately and you may either choose to wait for shipment or receive a full refund.

2. Local Pickup (Seattle Only)

We offer free local pickup at our store:

Once your order is ready for pickup, we will send you a notification (via email or phone). Please bring your order confirmation and a government-issued ID. We are not liable for any damage or loss after you leave the premises with your order.

3. Shipping Scope, Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges will be calculated and displayed at checkout and depend on the item weight, destination, and carrier.
Delivery estimates (after shipping):

  • Standard Shipping (within U.S.): 3–7 business days

  • Expedited Shipping (within U.S.): 1–3 business days
    These are estimates only and may vary due to carrier delays, customs (if applicable), weather or other events beyond our control.
    We reserve the right to select the carrier unless otherwise specified.

4. Shipping Restrictions & Product-Specific Conditions

  • Live plants: These are available for local delivery or store pickup within the Seattle metropolitan area only due to their temperature sensitivity and agricultural regulations. We do not ship live plants outside of Seattle.

  • Home décor and non-plant items: These may be shipped to any address within the United States (excluding territories where prohibited).
    If an item cannot legally be shipped to your address (for example, due to destination restrictions), we will notify you promptly and offer a replacement or full refund.

5. Tracking, Receipt & Risk of Loss

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number. Tracking updates may take 24-48 hours to appear.
Risk of loss and title transfer to you when the carrier picks up the shipment from us (unless local delivery applies and we state otherwise).
It is your responsibility to inspect the delivery upon arrival and report any damage or missing items within 48 hours to be eligible for remedies (see section 6).

6. Damages, Loss & Claims

We are not liable for damage, loss or theft of items in transit once the carrier has accepted the package, except where required by applicable law.
If your order arrives damaged, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Photo of the damaged item

  • Photo of the packaging

  • Your order number
    We will evaluate the claim and may offer replacement, refund or credit at our discretion. Failure to report within 48 hours may forfeit your claim rights.

7. Consumer Protection & Legal Compliance

We comply with the Federal Trade Commission’s “Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule” — if we state a specific shipping time, we must ship within that time or obtain your consent to delay. By placing an order, you agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Shipping Policy or your order will be in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you hereby submit to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

8. Sales Tax, Shipping Charges & Other Fees

Shipping charges may be taxable depending on your state, the nature of the products, and how the charges are stated on the invoice. We may pass through any applicable taxes or duties required by law. Avalara+1
You are responsible for any import duties or taxes if your shipment is delivered to a destination requiring them (though currently we ship only within the U.S. for most items).

9. International Shipping

At this time, we do not offer international shipping outside the United States. Should that change, additional restrictions, duties, or delivery delays may apply.

  • Ensure your website clarifies the shipping policy link clearly and before checkout (to support enforceability).

  • Keep records of communications, shipment dates, tracking numbers, damage claims.

  • If you represent shipping times (e.g., “2–3 business days”), make sure you can reasonably comply or include clear disclaimers.

  • Consider limiting your liability (to purchase price) in your Terms of Service to further protect your business (not shown here).

  • Encourage customers to inspect items upon receipt and capture photos of any damage.
