Crassula Ovata ‘Crosby’s Compact’ (Jade Plant)
Native to South Africa & Mozambique
Light ☀️: The Crassula Ovata loves sunlight. Be sure to put in a spot where it gets the most sunlight. You may need to move it a few times to find the spot where it will thrive!
Water 💧: Allow soil to dry in between waterings. Water every 7-10 days in the spring and summer. When the weather starts cooling down, water every 14 days or so. Leaves will fall if overwatered.
*We recommend Bottom-Watering, sometimes called reverse watering, is when you place a plant in a bowl of water, allowing the soil and roots to soak water from the bottom up. (Naturally, your pot needs to have drainage holes for this to work.)
Humidity: This plant adapts well to any humidity level. But your Jade plant prefers at least 30 to 50% humidity.
Temperature🌡️: Jade plants grow best at room 65º to 75ºF. The lowest it can go is 50ºF. It the temperature goes lower in your household, try putting in a warmer room.
Food🌿: Fertilize your Crassula at least twice a month during the spring and summer with a liquid fertilizer for succulents.
Toxicity🐶🐱:The Crassula Ovata (Jade Plant) is toxic to any animals. And mildly toxic to humans.
Tips:Make sure your Crosby’s Compact is in well draining soil and in a well draining planter. This plant does not like to sit in moist/wet soil.
